This is Max, my Mom's first child. The weather's been crappy so it's currently the garage queen (somebody thought they were funny by putting a bow over the windshield). I have begged, however, until my mom is the color of the car I can't have it. I however will get to learn stick on this wonderful machine...ONE DAY IT WILL ME MINE!!! (evil laugh)

Hey kid!
There's another blue NA Miata sitting in my driveway. Come get it before it floats away with all this rain we've been having.

My aunt was a CPA throughout most of the '90s, and she leased a red NA in the fall of 1989 (right after I was born). I have only one memory of the car. Riding with the top down outside of Indianapolis with my aunt and laughing because I thought it was so much fun. Her lease ended and she had to turn it back in when I turned four. :(

That sucks...actually a lot of my mom's friends bought them used in the early 90's...my mom is the only one who still has hers.

They were a fad when they first came out. Almost a fashion statement to some people. My aunt bought hers because it was "cute." Of course, after she drove it a bit, she ended up tearing down Indiana back-roads every weekend. Said it was a good stress reliever for her. I bet!
